PRESIDENTIAL WOMEN

There have been five women who have served as Presidents of the Canadian Political Science Association. Miriam Smith (York) is the incoming president in 2008-09. The five past presidents are:

Caroline Andrew (Ottawa) Professor of Political Science, President of CPSA – 1983-84

Sylvia Bashevkin (UT) Professor of Political Science and (currently) Principal of University College) President of CPSA – 1993-94

Jane Jenson (Montreal) Professor of Political Science, President of CPSA – 1996-97

Grace Skogstad (UT) Professor of Political Science, President of CPSA – 2002-2003

Elisabeth Gidingel (McGill) Professor of Political Science, President of CPSA - 2006-07
